Without going to much into what is a long story, I did not make the decision to have my tubes tied after the birth of my fifth child. It was done without my consent by a physician who felt he could make that decision for me. When I later divorced then re-married it would have been nice to have been able to have a child with my current husband. He does not have any biological children, and we did look into In Vitro Fertilization as an option, unfortunately due to some of my health issues it wasn’t something we were able to do. There are some great doctors out there like Dr. Randy Morris who is very well known in the field of fertility and has a Chicago IVF office as well as one in Naperville. He’s helped many couples have that dream of being a parent become a reality.

Oh dear.. I mean, the physician definitely didn’t have the rights to tie your tubes! Did you get even with him? You could get him to pay for all the misery s/he had caused you!
I filed a complaint with the Medical Board here in Ohio and he was “disciplined” which basically just meant they let him get a way with it with just a letter of reprimand. I could have sued, but there would have really been no point, from what I learned with the way he did the procedure trying a reversal would have been almost impossible. So, I was still married to husband number two and I resigned myself that I was done having children. Thankfully the man I’m married to now, loves me and my children to the point where since we can’t have one together, all that matters is we are a family.
